A must-read this summer for all adoptees. Can’t wrap my head around that this book came out in 2007 and very few things has changed. Still the same f@@cked up arguments from the pro-adoption lobby and no focus on protection of the child. It’s hard to believe how human trafficking has been discussed on an EU level and still continues. Hard to believe there is a lack of children for adoption right? This book documents how UNICEF states there is 50 adopters for each child! Not about finding familys for children but children for adopters. Industries are build up around the commodity of a child selling business, like lawyers, translators, hotels, taxi companies, orphanage truism etc. Read it and let’s discuss it.
